Kirkwood Charity Race Day - Sharpo Bar


The Kirkwood Charity Race Day will take place within the private Sharpo Bar, located on the 2nd Floor of the Knavesmire Stand. This provides an ideal base for the day with easy access to view York's famous Knavesmire Racecourse. A delicious 2 course buffet lunch will be served with Tote betting facilities and a cash bar. As well as enjoying a great day out, guests will have the added benefit of knowing that the even is supporting 'The Kirkwood' and helping provide care for those effected by a life limiting illness across Kirklees.

AR Events will require full payment to confirm the booking and will raise an invoice for payment.

Upon contact, AR events will manage your booking and issue an ‘Event Booking Confirmation Email’ listing event details and your details. You will simply then have to confirm you wish to proceed and an invoice will be generated for a BACS payment to be sent through.


Car: There is complimentary parking on site for guests travelling by car.

Train: The train station is approximately 20 mins walk, alternatively concessionary rates are available for guests in nearby hotel accommodation near to the race course which AR Events can discuss with you.


Arrival Time: 11.30am arrival for welcome drinks, we ask all guests arrive by 12 noon.

Finish Time: 30 mins after the last race i.e. around 6pm.


Pre event race badges and wristbands will be sent out to the lead booker approximately 2 weeks before the event.

Dress code

Smart casual, whilst jeans are acceptable, trainers are not recognised as suitable footwear for the event. Feel free to dress to impress as an prize will be on offer for this!
